It looks like he’s crocheting single crochet stitches.

There may be a digital copy of this on the web. This was the pattern (from a Caron Simply Soft skein) I used in making two scarves (see first here and second here) using this exact pattern and one infinity scarf without the fringes. This could even be modified into a cowl.

This is a great pattern for beginners who would like a different texture to their scarves and cowls 🙂

The yarn I used is I Love This Cotton! in Dark Denim, with a size I hook. There wasn’t a particular pattern I used. The band is made with single crochet (sc) stitches, crocheted in the back loop only (blo). The rest is made with double crochets (dc) and front post double crochets (fpdc).

With the cooler weather coming up, I made this specifically for my father 🙂

This scarf was made by using Caron’s “Lacy Scarf” pattern. I used two full skeins (left with less than seven feet of yarn) Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton! in Rosy, with a size I crochet hook.

I followed the pattern as written, but did not add the fringes in order to create the infinity scarf. The final piece measures 8″wide and 63″ around.

It turned out so beautifully! And it wears very well. This will be given as a gift to my mother, which I’ve simply wrapped in blue tissue paper 🙂

I’m not sure when I made this piece, but I know it was within five years from 2016. It was my first time making this pattern. I used Caron’s “Lacy Scarf” pattern. The yarn used is Caron’s Simply Soft Brites in Berry Blue, with a H (5.00 mm) hook.

The Berry Blue color has either been discontinued or renamed to Blue Mint.

This piece was made in Spring 2015 using Caron’s “Lacy Scarf” pattern. The yarn used is Caron’s Simply Soft in Autumn Red, with a H (5.00 mm) hook.

Crocheted Blanket/Throw

This piece measures approximately 36 inches by 39 inches. It’s a perfect size for a small child, and I think it’s a good size for an adult to bring along on their travels. It’s a nice lap warmer too!
With a US I-9 (5.5 mm) hook, the yarn used is I Love This Yarn! (available at Hobby Lobby) in Graymist, Antique White, and Glacier. The colors when so well together!

This piece was made by freehand. I began with a foundation chain, from which I built on the stripe blocks. Each of the blocks consist of five rows of all double crochet stitches. So it would be a very basic pattern if instructions were written.

I look forward to making more pieces in other color variations 🙂

Fingerless Gloves

Crocheted fingerless gloves with Patons Silk Bamboo in Coal. The next pair that I make will have a partial thumb covering.
