There may be a digital copy of this on the web. This was the pattern (from a Caron Simply Soft skein) I used in making two scarves (see first here and second here) using this exact pattern and one infinity scarf without the fringes. This could even be modified into a cowl.

This is a great pattern for beginners who would like a different texture to their scarves and cowls 🙂

This hat and cowl set will be given to an employee at work 🙂

The I used is Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Blush Heather.

For the hat, I used single crochet stitches for the band and double crochet stitches for the crown. The pieces measures 10″ x 9″.

For the cowl, I crocheted it as a flat piece using all double crochet stitches and crocheting into the back loops only. After reaching the desired height, the piece was crocheted together to form the cowl. The piece measures 13.5″ x 9.5″.

I finished using the yarn for this piece, but on that same day, I decided to make something else. I found that the yarn would be more suitable for a cowl instead of a shawl. I unraveled my work and made a cowl, which sure enough, turned out more efficient in terms of the yarn usage.

The image of the cowl itself doesn’t look impressive, but it wears better than the shawl. I finished this piece about a few weeks ago.

Note: Image of the cowl will follow.
